Despite reaching the grand final of the LoL World Championship 2023, Weibo Gaming decided to make two big roster changes. Top laner Kang “TheShy” Seung-lok and mid laner Wei “Weiwei” Bo-Han both left the squad and were replaced by Zhu “Zdz” De-Zhang and Li “Xiaohu” Yuan-Hao. Weibo Gaming also field a new jungler, Peng “Xiaohao” Hao, for the upcoming season.
Replacing one risk-taker (TheShy) with another in Xiaohu might keep Weibo Gaming’s identity intact as a team that will be inconsistent but can do some serious damage. The big question is how Zdz will perform in the top lane and whether he’s capable of filling TheShy’s shoes.
Rare Atom has also made some big roster changes. Losing jungler Lu “Leyan” Jue is not optimal, but Rare Atom has acquired a new star player, Lee “VicLa” Dae-kwang. On paper, Rare Atom doesn’t look great, but they have some solid pieces and should be good for a top-10 finish.
Weibo Gaming has a much higher ceiling, but with all the new faces on the roster and a big question mark above Zdz, trusting Rare Atom to win a map makes more sense.

ThunderTalk Gaming had their moments last season and looked like one of the top teams in the LPL until everything fell apart. For the 2024 season, TT Gaming decided to keep the core from last year but lost coach Zhou “NONAME” Qi-Lin, which could prove to be a much more significant factor than?it may seem.
LNG Esports kept their roster mostly intact, besides signing Wei “Weiwei” Bo-Han as a new jungler and Ling “Mark” Xu as a secondary support. The more impactful change is the addition of a new coach, Luo “Crescent” Sheng, from Top Esports, who could turn this team around.
Last season, LNG had the talent to do well but was too predictable and one-dimensional. The change of coach should help, and if Crescent can help LNG Esports improve on that, this team can do extremely well.
ThunderTalk are no pushovers, but they’re outclassed by LNG Esports, who, as the betting odds suggest, should win without much hassle.
